I know we are still waiting on Halloween, but Christmas trees are already going fast this year! Christmas trees are probably one of the biggest (pun intended) staples in holiday celebrations. There is something so exciting about having a big beautiful Christmas tree in your living room with twinkling lights and ornaments. Christmas trees go with all occasions, be it when some special friends or family are coming over for Christmas dinner or when your child wants to put on a school play and needs to practice acting like a tree.
Our first Christmas tree was a small, fake one that we got from Dollar General. It was a little bit crooked, but we didn’t care because it was our first one. So in 2016, when we moved into our forever home, we decided to buy a real tree for the first time. We went to our local nursery and picked out a 10-foot Noble Fir. It was beautiful, smelled amazing, and was perfect for our home.

Greetings! I hope this post finds you well. It’s officially the holiday season for my crew and me. All trees are up and decked. Over the past few weeks, I’ve been working on a new theme for our dining room, and I am all about sustainability, so I decided to use the living room theme in the dining room this year. The blue and gold are such a royal and elegant color theme for this formal setting. I used our 9′ Blue Spruce, and I think it accommodates our dining room well.
While this tree is in our dining room, it would make the perfect tree for any entryway or family room. This year I added smart plugs to all my trees to prolong the life of the trees, both the artificial ones and our real ones. I hope to share more of our home over the holidays on the blog. If not, be sure to follow me on Pinterest or Instagram for more daily home decor, recipes, and lifestyle inspirations. I don’t have anything on my list this year for Santa. I’m already blessed enough. Be Well.
