Easy Cinnamon Rolls with Sweet Potato Filling

Description

Easy cinnamon rolls filled with sweet potato and topped with brown butter glaze. This recipe is made with store-bought ready-to-bake cinnamon rolls.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 3 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoons nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 (12.4 ounce) cans cinnamon rolls
  • sweet potato filling
  • 1/2 cup pecans, optional, finely chopped

For the Brown Butter Glaze

  • 8 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 8 tbsp cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp sea salt
  • 3 tbsp milk

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Generously coat a 9×13-inch baking dish with melted butter.

Roll out cinnamon rolls and cut into strips.

Add sweet potato filling and roll, and place in greased baking dish.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla.

Pour egg mixture over the contents of the dish to make sure you dampen any dry pieces.

Sprinkle the pecans evenly over the dish.

Bake until light golden brown, about 18-25 minutes. The type of cinnamon rolls you use might vary cook time so watch carefully! You will also want to check a middle piece to ensure the dough is fully cooked.

Remove the baking dish from the oven.

Pour the warm glaze evenly over cinnamon roll pieces.

Serve immediately.

For Glaze

Heat butter in a small saucepan on medium-low until it turns a nutty brown, about 6- 8 minutes. Cool slightly.

Place cream cheese in a medium bowl. Using a whisk, mix in powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth.

Whisk in browned butter slowly. Add milk until smooth.

Better Than Honey Baked Ham | Brown Bag Ham

Better Than Honey Baked Ham | Brown Bag Ham

What could be better than Honey Baked Ham? Well, some say there is no substitute for HoneyBaked ham, but this pineapple brown sugar ham recipe will leave you more than satisfied.

If you want to prepare an amazing and unforgettable holiday dish that is fast, easy, and sooooo delicious, this pineapple brown sugar ham is definitely a recipe you need. I am sure you will love it!

honey baked ham

This pineapple brown sugar ham will be gone before you know it!

I got this recipe from my mother-in-law, and I usually cook it at least once a year, for either Thanksgiving or Christmas.

WHAT’S THE TRICK TO THIS HONEY-BAKED HAM DUPE???

What’s the trick, or what makes this recipe different? A brown paper bag! It’s true! The bag not only helps with flavoring it also pulls the extra sodium out of the ham, so you don’t have a “salty pig.”

Where do you get a brown bag? Most of your grocery stores always ask “paper or plastic” right? just ask the cashier for an extra unused bag!

The brown sugar and pineapple juices caramelize on the outside of the ham, creating a delicious crispy crust. This is one of those super easy recipes that are so good you’ll want to make it again and again. The ham will be tender and juicy, and it has a delicious brown sugar crust on the outside. You can serve this with pineapple rings or slices, but I like to serve it with some pineapple sauce for extra flavor.

This is a great recipe to make if you’re hosting a large crowd at your home, especially for the holidays. It’s easy to make and has very few ingredients. I would recommend using a spiral-cut ham, but you can use any kind of ham that you like.

Ahh, the classic holiday ham. A delicious addition to your family’s Thanksgiving or Christmas meal.

Be sure to tag us #belleomniley if you make this dish or leave us a comment! Be well-Omniley

Best Artificial Christmas Trees 2022

Best Artificial Christmas Trees 2022

I know we are still waiting on Halloween, but Christmas trees are already going fast this year! Christmas trees are probably one of the biggest (pun intended) staples in holiday celebrations. There is something so exciting about having a big beautiful Christmas tree in your living room with twinkling lights and ornaments. Christmas trees go with all occasions, be it when some special friends or family are coming over for Christmas dinner or when your child wants to put on a school play and needs to practice acting like a tree.

Christmas Trees We’ve Had Over the Years

Our first Christmas tree was a small, fake one that we got from Dollar General. It was a little bit crooked, but we didn’t care because it was our first one.  So in 2016, when we moved into our forever home, we decided to buy a real tree for the first time. We went to our local nursery and picked out a 10-foot Noble Fir. It was beautiful, smelled amazing, and was perfect for our home.

The Best Pumpkin Martini Recipe

The Best Pumpkin Martini Recipe

How To Make The Perfect Pumpkin Martini

pumpkin martini

The perfect pumpkin martini is sweet, creamy, and flavorful. It’s made with real pumpkin purée and pumpkin pie spice—and it’s pure autumnal bliss. It’s also a delicious way to ring in the season.

The pumpkin martini is a delicious cocktail that is perfect for Halloween, Thanksgiving, or any fall gathering.

What you’ll need for this cocktail:

Martini Glasses

Vodka (flavored caramel or vanilla is best)

Heavy cream

Pure maple syrup

Canned pumpkin puree

Pumpkin pie spice

Vanilla extract

Graham crackers

Cinnamon sticks

To make your very own pumpkin martini at home, follow these simple steps:

  1. Using two saucers, add crushed graham crackers to one and maple syrup to the other.
  2. Next, rim your glass in the maple syrup, then graham crackers well.
  3. Add vodka, heavy cream, maple syrup, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract to a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes.
  4. Shake vigorously until well chilled, about 30 seconds to 1 minute (your hands will get cold!).
  5. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with whipped cream, pumpkin pie spice, and cinnamon stick (optional).

But what if you don’t like pumpkin? Or, if you do like it, how can you make this seasonal cocktail even better? We’ve got the perfect solution: substitute apple cider for the pumpkin purée and top it with an apple slice.

It’s important to note that if you don’t drink alcohol, you can still enjoy this drink! To make it alcohol-free, use non-alcoholic vanilla syrup instead of vodka. This will give it the same flavor without the buzz.

We hope that this guide will help you make and enjoy your very own pumpkin martini in time for Halloween. If you try it out, be sure to send us a pic of how it turned out. We would love to feature your creations! Be Well-Omniley

Salted Caramel Pumpkin Cookies from Cake Mix

Salted Caramel Pumpkin Cookies from Cake Mix

Who doesn’t love a good pumpkin recipe? But let’s be honest, sometimes all the work involved with pumpkin bakes can get a little daunting. And by daunting, I mean killing any desire you might have to actually make something that includes those original orange gourds of fall. That’s when these salted caramel pumpkin cookies come in to save the day!

pumpkin cookies

These cookies are super easy to make, but they taste like you spent hours in your kitchen slaving over a hot stove. The caramel bits are rich and buttery, and the pumpkin puree gives them just the right amount of sweetness without being cloying. And let’s not forget about that salted caramel topping!

You only need 5 ingredients:

Spice Cake Mix

Pumpkin Puree

Pumpkin Pie Spice

Caramel Bits

Salted Caramel Frosting

The cookies are so easy to make. All you need is a super moist Spice Cake Mix. This recipe makes about 18 cookies, but you can easily double it. I would suggest storing these cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or freezing them for up to 3 months.

If you’re looking for a fall dessert that’s out of the box, give these salted caramel pumpkin cookies a try. The taste and the textures will surprise you, and the process is surprisingly simple.

Easy Buttermilk Pumpkin Biscuits

Easy Buttermilk Pumpkin Biscuits

If you’re looking for a delicious way to ring in pumpkin spice season at your house. Well, I have a recipe that fits the bill! Pumpkin biscuits are the perfect probiotic food for fall because of their seasonal flavors, but also because they’re high in beta-carotene, are a great source of vitamin C, and are low in calories. Also — did I mention they taste wonderful?

These pumpkin biscuits are a great way to celebrate fall. They’re delicious, moist, and full of seasonal flavors. You can enjoy them fresh out of the oven or reheated with some butter and honey on top!

pumpkin biscuits

pumpkin biscuits

THREE TIPS FOR PERFECT PUMPKIN BISCUITS

  1. Keep your cold ingredients cold. Store your buttermilk in the refrigeration until you are ready to use it; cube your butter and place it in the freezer 20 minutes prior to cutting it into your dough.
  2. Fold your wet mixture gently into the flour mixture just until it’s moistened. Add fold layers when kneading to create flaky layers.
  3. Use non-aluminum baking powder to avoid that metallic taste.

The recipe below makes about 6-10 biscuits. The size of your biscuit cutter will determine how many biscuits you get from this batch, but don’t worry — they’re so good that they’ll go fast anyway! So whether you make one dozen or two dozen (or more!), I hope you enjoy them as much as we do. Be Well-Omniley
